Why your own domain matters
A domain like yourbrand.com looks more trustworthy in a Facebook ad, is easier to remember on packaging and builds search authority
that belongs to you. Buyers who are nervous about ordering from a new page feel safer on a branded address with a padlock. For social-commerce sellers
moving from "page" to "brand", a custom domain is usually the first upgrade.
Free subdomain first, custom domain when you are ready
You choose your subdomain at registration and the store is live immediately — no DNS, no hosting. Product pages, the landing page, slug URLs and your store sitemap all work on the subdomain. When you connect a custom domain later, nothing has to be rebuilt: the same store simply answers on the new address, and visits to the subdomain are redirected permanently so links already shared in posts and comments keep working.
How to connect your domain
- Unlock the feature. You buy/register the domain yourself at any registrar — Shop-E-Business does not sell domains. Tier-2 subscriptions ($18 USD/year) only enable connecting it. On Tier-1 you can instead buy the separate custom-domain add-on ($8 USD/year, valid until your current subscription ends) and enter the licence key in the Custom Domain tab.
- Generate a token. Click generate to get your verification value.
- Add DNS records at your provider using only the host labels shown: a TXT record on
_sb-challengewith the token, an A record on@, and a CNAME onwwwpointing toshopebusiness.com. TTL can stay on Auto. - Save the domain. Shop-E-Business looks up the TXT record. When it matches, the domain is marked Verified & Active.
- HTTPS is automatic. The first visit triggers certificate issuance for verified, eligible domains only.
Safe by default
Domain ownership must be proven with DNS before a store can claim it, and one domain can belong to only one shop. Certificates are issued only for platform hosts and verified shops with an active entitlement, so nobody can point a random domain at the platform and get a certificate. When a subscription or add-on expires, the custom domain is released automatically and the store keeps working on its free subdomain.

Can I use my own domain with Shop-E-Business?
Yes. Every store starts on a free subdomain (yourshop.shopebusiness.com). With a Tier-2 subscription ($18 USD/year) or the custom-domain add-on ($8 USD/year) you can connect a domain you own, such as yourbrand.com or yourbrand.com.bd. The domain itself is registered separately at any registrar; Shop-E-Business does not sell domains.
Is the domain included in the price?
No. Tier-2 and the add-on only unlock connecting a domain you already own. You buy or register the domain yourself at a registrar such as Namecheap, GoDaddy or Cloudflare; a .com usually costs roughly $10–15 per year, and .com.bd domains are registered through Bangladeshi registrars.
How do I verify my domain?
Generate a verification token in the Custom Domain tab, add it as a TXT record on the _sb-challenge host at your DNS provider, add the A record for @ and the CNAME for www, then save. Shop-E-Business checks the TXT record before it activates the domain.
Do I get HTTPS on my custom domain?
Yes. Verified, eligible domains get an SSL certificate issued automatically on demand, so your store loads over HTTPS.
What happens to my old subdomain links?
Once your custom domain is active, visits to your subdomain are redirected permanently to the custom domain, so shared links and search rankings carry over.
Which DNS provider do I need?
Any provider works for the domain itself — Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap and others. If you also want Stripe + EasyPost, the domain's DNS must be on Cloudflare.
