Short answer: Shop-E-Business connects your store to Stripe for card payments and EasyPost for shipments through a ready-made Cloudflare Worker that runs on your own custom domain. A buyer places an order, pays on Stripe Checkout, and the paid order automatically becomes an EasyPost shipment whose delivery and payment status appear in your Shop-E-Business dashboard and on the buyer's tracking page. Your keys stay in your Worker, and Shop-E-Business takes 0% of every sale. A custom domain you own is required; connecting it is unlocked by Tier-2 at $18 USD/year or the add-on at $8 USD/year, and the domain itself is registered separately.

Why sellers need payments and shipping that work together

Most small online stores start with cash on delivery, and Shop-E-Business is built for that. But as a store grows — especially when it sells to the United States, Europe or other card-first markets — buyers expect to pay by card, and the seller has to book a courier for every order. Doing both by hand means copying addresses from one dashboard into another, checking whether a payment really arrived, and pasting tracking links into messages. Every manual step is a chance to ship an unpaid order or lose a paid one.

Big platforms solve this with paid apps and monthly plans. Shopify adds a transaction fee when you use a third-party gateway, WooCommerce needs separate payment and shipping plugins plus hosting you maintain, and Wix limits payment providers by region and plan. Shop-E-Business takes a different approach: it generates the integration for you and runs it on infrastructure you control, so there is no extra plan and no revenue share.

How the Stripe + EasyPost flow works, step by step

  1. Buyer checks out. On your custom domain the buyer uses the normal Shop-E-Business checkout or Order Now button.
  2. Shop-E-Business dispatches the order. The platform posts the order (items, totals, billing details and a unique CustomOrderId) to your Worker's /apiEndpoint, signed with a short-lived HS256 JWT.
  3. The Worker creates a Stripe Checkout Session and returns its URL; the buyer is redirected to Stripe's hosted payment page, which collects the card, billing address and phone number.
  4. Stripe confirms payment. Stripe calls /stripe-webhook with checkout.session.completed; the Worker verifies the Stripe signature before doing anything.
  5. The Worker books the shipment. It fetches your current ship-from address and parcel size from Shop-E-Business, then creates an EasyPost shipment referenced by the order ID.
  6. Status flows back. The Worker posts delivery status, tracking URL and payment status to Shop-E-Business. You see it in Custom Order Management; the buyer sees it on their tracking page.

If any step fails, the Worker returns an error to Stripe, and Stripe retries the webhook for up to about three days, so a temporary outage does not lose a paid order. Because the courier settings are fetched at shipment time, you can change your address or parcel defaults in the admin panel without redeploying the Worker.

What you need to set it up

The admin tab walks you through it: copy the generated Worker script, add four secrets and two variables in Cloudflare, add the two Worker routes (yourdomain.com/apiEndpoint and yourdomain.com/stripe-webhook), register the webhook in Stripe, and click Activate. Shop-E-Business checks that your courier settings are complete before it lets you activate.

Security by design

Every message between Shop-E-Business and your Worker is signed. Orders sent to the Worker carry a JWT issued by shopebusiness for seller-{your shop id} that expires in five minutes, and status updates sent back must be signed by your shop with the same secret and must match the order ID in the body. Stripe webhooks are verified with your webhook signing secret. Nothing seller-specific is baked into the script, so you can safely extend it — for example to add another courier or a notification — as long as the two endpoints keep their contract.

Who this is for

The Stripe + EasyPost integration is for growing Shop-E-Business sellers who ship within the countries EasyPost supports and want buyers to prepay by card: fashion and lifestyle brands, print-on-demand shops, cross-border sellers and anyone who outgrew cash on delivery. If you are just starting out, keep the default COD checkout and switch on Payment & Courier later — your products, slugs, SEO and orders stay exactly where they are.

Frequently asked questions

Can a Shop-E-Business store accept card payments with Stripe?

Yes. With the Payment & Courier integration, every order on your custom domain is sent to a Cloudflare Worker that creates a Stripe Checkout Session. The buyer pays by card on Stripe's hosted page and is returned to your store's order-success page.

How does EasyPost shipping work with Shop-E-Business?

When Stripe confirms the payment (checkout.session.completed webhook), the Worker reads your ship-from address and parcel size from Shop-E-Business, creates an EasyPost shipment with the order ID as reference, and posts the delivery and payment status back to your order dashboard.

Does Shop-E-Business take a percentage of Stripe payments?

No. Shop-E-Business charges 0% transaction fees. Payments go straight to your own Stripe account; you only pay Stripe's and EasyPost's own fees.

Where are my Stripe and EasyPost API keys stored?

Only in your own Cloudflare Worker as encrypted secrets (STRIPE_SECRET_KEY, STRIPE_WEBHOOK_SECRET, COURIER_API_KEY, SHOPEBUSINESS_JWT_SECRET). Shop-E-Business never stores your payment or courier keys, and the generated Worker script contains no seller secrets.

What do I need before I can activate Stripe and EasyPost?

A Tier-2 subscription ($18 USD/year) or the custom-domain add-on ($8 USD/year), a verified custom domain you own (registered separately) whose DNS is on Cloudflare (proxied, SSL Full Strict), and complete courier settings: ship-from address plus parcel length, width, height and weight.

Can I still offer cash on delivery?

Stores without the integration use cash on delivery by default. When you activate Payment & Courier, checkout switches to online payment so buyers pay by card before the shipment is created.
