Why small sellers lose money on stock
Social-commerce sellers usually keep stock in their head or in a notebook. A popular post brings fifty orders in an evening, and nobody knows how many pieces are actually left. The result is overselling, cancelled orders, angry customers and wasted courier fees — or the opposite, money tied up in slow products nobody noticed. A storefront is only as reliable as the stock numbers behind it.
How inventory works in Shop-E-Business
Stock on every product
Each product carries a quantity on hand and its own low-stock threshold (5 by default). Existing products were initialised with a starting quantity, so the feature works from day one. Status is calculated automatically: zero or less is Out of stock, at or below the threshold is Low stock, anything above is In stock.
Two ways to adjust
On the Stock & Inventory page you can set an exact count after a stock take, or increment by a positive or negative number when a shipment arrives or items are damaged. You can search products and filter by stock status to find everything that needs reordering in seconds.
No more overselling
Stock is checked at the moment of ordering, for the product and for each size. If a buyer asks for more than you have, Shop-E-Business blocks the order and tells them how many are left. When an order is placed the units are deducted automatically, and if you later mark the order Cancelled they go straight back into stock — so the number on screen matches the shelf.
Units across the order pipeline
The inventory table also shows how many units sit in each order status — Initial, Confirmed, Packed, Shipped, Delivered and Cancelled — so you can see committed stock before it leaves the shelf, plus the quantity left for each size.
Inventory History
Every adjustment is written to a history log you can search and page through, so you always know who changed what and when. That makes it easy to reconcile physical stock with your store at the end of the week.

Frequently asked questions
Does Shop-E-Business have inventory management?
Yes. Every product has a stock quantity and a low-stock threshold. The Stock & Inventory page shows quantity on hand, stock status and units in each order status, and Inventory History logs every change.
How do I update stock?
Open Stock & Inventory and adjust a product either by setting an exact quantity or by adding or removing units. Each adjustment is recorded in Inventory History.
What does low stock mean?
A product is Low stock when its quantity is at or below its low-stock threshold (5 by default), and Out of stock when the quantity reaches zero.
Can I see how many units are confirmed, packed or shipped?
Yes. The inventory table shows, per product, units in Initial, Confirmed, Packed, Shipped, Delivered and Cancelled orders, plus the quantity left per size.
Does Shop-E-Business stop overselling?
Yes. Before an order is placed, the checkout and Order Now check available stock per product and per size. If there is not enough, the buyer sees a message such as "only 2 left in stock" and the order is not created. Stock is deducted when the order is placed and returned automatically if you cancel it.
Is inventory included in the price?
Yes. Inventory tracking is part of every Shop-E-Business store at $10 USD per year, with 0% transaction fees. Connecting a domain you own costs $18 USD/year (Tier-2) or $8 USD/year (add-on); domain registration is separate.
